Peaceful, loving environment that develops basic trust in which caregivers respond appropriately to the infant’s communication of his/her needs. Constant observation followed by appropriate responses to assist in the development of his/her own emerging personality. The Infant is respected as a whole person and affected by the quality of care such as holding, feeding, diapering, eye contact, speaking and responding.
